London’s calling – Sprachreise der 6G
Our week in London started with an exciting boat trip to Greenwich on Sunday. The beautiful view along the Thames set the tone for the adventures that followed. In Greenwich, we saw the famous tea clipper “Cutty Sark” and visited two interesting museums. After our lessons on Monday, we visited the Tower of London and learned all about the history surrounding the Crown Jewels. Afterwards, we went to a viewing platform, which offered an amazing overview of the city. On Tuesday, we dedicated our afternoon to exploring Covent Garden. After we had done some shopping, we saw Mamma Mia! at the Novello Theatre, which was by far one of our favourite musicals ever. On Wednesday, we got to see the famous Science Museum, which was fascinating, especially the interactive exhibits. Later that day, we passed by the impressive Royal Albert Hall, walked through Hyde Park and went round Harrods. Do you like shopping? So do we. That’s why we planned our Thursday afternoon around shopping on Oxford Street, but the highlight of the day was by far our visit to the Globe, where we watched The Comedy of Errors by Shakespeare. On our last day, we went on a sightseeing tour past iconic landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and Big Ben. As we made our way home, we were filled with memories of an incredible week in London or as the band The Clash likes to say: „London calling, and I don’t wanna shout”- but this trip was incredible- no doubt!
